- Job Description: all external house gardening and general property maintenance related duties – for an established, private ½ acre home with large well-groomed lawns/gardens – *must like gardening – general maintenance/upkeep includes – being handy at fixing things – replacing gas bottles & diesel (genset) supplies, outside sweeping, water blasting, weekly rubbish bins, mow lawns, all garden attendance, running errands etc – 2 groundsman uniforms provided
- Driving duties – personal driver for owner & family – pick/up drop offs to airport, checking in process at airports, meetings, functions – 2 drivers uniforms provided – needs ability to drive/host regular VIP and international guests – may require evening driving – *does not drink alcohol – will drive employers vehicles
- Qualifications: must be self-sufficient and have a high-level work standards & ethics, must have a current driver’s licence, no criminal/traffic record, must speak good English & Tongan, strongly prefer min SC or higher UE qualifications or other tertiary qualifications
- CV and at least 2 References: must be provided – no applications accepted without CV and current References
- Starting annual salary: $16,000
- Trial periods: after first 3 months of work – a performance review + after 6 months of work then, a performance review
- After successful 6 month review – fulltime position offered + increase annual salary to $19,000 pa
- Fulltime: 5 ½ days weekly Mon to Fri full days + 1⁄2 day on Sats
- Annual salary performance reviews (must maintain the high standards set) for first 3 years – each successful annual performance review results in an annual salary increase of $1,500 to a max $23,500 pa – thereafter, annual performance bonuses at owner’s discretion
- Superannuation package included
- Training: there will be constant training for the first 3 years
- The work standards expected of the groundsman/personal driver are high and in return, the successful applicant will be well looked after.
